September 14th, 2003: New horizon for tracks in Carmageddon II

[DOWNLOAD INFO]
13 horizontally seamless images that can be used as horizon images in tracks. Most easily used on unTWT'd fan-made or converted addon tracks. TWT-packed tracks must first be unpacked if you plan to use these for such tracks.

[INSTALLATION AND USAGE]

First extract this to main Carmageddon 2 directory.

For example, using a horizon called "BlueSky.TIF" in a track called "Beaches of Blood":
1) Open Data/Races/[Horizons].jpg, and choose a horizon image you want to use - we'll choose BlueSky.TIF for this example.
2) Copy Data/Races/BlueSky.TIF into the TiffRGB-folder of the addon-race. (BeachesOfBlood/TiffRGB)
3) Open Data/Races/[Horizon Settings].txt -> find the 8 lines of code for BlueSky, and copy them to clipboard. (CTRL+C)
4) Open Data/Races/BeachesOfBlood/BeachesOfBlood.txt
5) Find the horizon options (roughly 3x PAGE DOWN), and paste (CTRL+V) the clipboard contents overwriting the original horizon options.
6) Optional step: see note below.
7) Save the textfile, start the modified race in C2, and enjoy the new sights!

Note: the last, additional line contains ambient light values you can use for the horizon in question. So if you wish, use those values in the "Global Lighting Data"-section in the beginning of track textfiles.

For example:
"0.5 , 1.0	// Ambient/Diffuse light to be used when plaything ambient says anything else"
